Grey Wagtail

The Boat

"Grey Wagtail", a 69ft, cruiser stern, 10-12 berth narrow boat from Alvechurch Boat Centres' Alvechurch base.

The Route

The Stourport Ring (clockwise), incorporating the Stourbridge Canal and as much BCN as we can manage.

The Dates

22nd to the 29th of August 1998.

The Report...

...being a biased, personal and entirely subjective view of our trip by me, Pete Sykes, but amended, corrected and otherwise hacked about by the rest of the crew.

The Pictures

Almost all of the pictures in this trip report can be seen in 700x525, 900x675 and 1500x1125 formats. Click here to find out how to access each one and for some notes about JPEG optimisation and so on..

Links

A couple of years after our trip Ben Fuller and family attacked the Stourport Ring in a Black Prince boat from Stoke Prior. Read Ben's account of the trip on http://www.benefuller.supanet.com/Home.html. By the way, don't get the idea that the trip is only done once every couple of years! It's just that not many people put an account on the web!
